Dr. Patrice Achu

Patrice is an accomplished accounting professional with 14 plus years of experience, including 7 years at Ernst & Young, serving clients from private and public companies. Currently a CPA and member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, Wisconsin Institute of Certified Public Accountants, The American Institute of Internal Auditors and the National Association of Black Accountants.

Dr. Emily Zoet

Emily is an assistant professor of accountancy at Ferris State University. She is a Certified Public Accountant in Michigan and previously worked as a Finance Manager in Ferris’ Administration and Finance division. Prior to joining Ferris, Emily worked in Finance and Accounting at Dow Chemical in Midland, MI. Emily completed a doctorate degree in business administration and studies sustainability issues in accounting. She also volunteers for various organizations, including the IRS Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program.

Jaygima Whitton

Jaygima possesses vast expertise in navigating complex aspects of humanitarian procurement, contract management, third-party relationships, and strategic planning within the non-profit sector. Her proficiency extends to operational management and administration, particularly in demanding multicultural and hostile environments, where she excels in risk management and contingency planning.

Trisch Garthoeffner

Trisch is the founder and managing member of Anchor Business Valuations & Financial Services, LLC (ABVFS), with over 20 years of experience in business valuation and financial consulting. She holds multiple certifications, including ABV (AICPA), CVA, MAFF (NACVA), and EA (IRS), and is a court-certified expert witness. With a Master’s in accounting specializing in business valuations and a decade on Wall Street in investment banking and private equity, she brings deep expertise in financial services and mergers & acquisitions. She has held leadership roles within NACVA, including SDB Board Chair and Vice President, and received the NACVA Outstanding Membership Award in 2023.

Shannon Zoet

Shannon brings over a decade of expertise in the nonprofit sector to her current role as a program and grants officer within state government. Her extensive background encompasses grantmaking, grant administration, program and operations management, workforce development, and national service. Armed with a Master of Public Administration degree specializing in nonprofit management, Shannon is dedicated to driving impactful initiatives and facilitating positive change within her community.
